Smarty, php, and a whole lot of tables…

I started leaning about the structure of the site I’m about to optimize, in-bucharest.ro, and it is all over the place. Thing is most content is automagically generated from config files, since there’s a lot of languages the site is in and they all have to load on the same page. I did a quick sift through the variables in the php but without a working database it’s pretty much a broken page… And the tables are all over the place. Not to mention that many elements are SEO optimized but done poorly, like keywords inserted as arguments of img tags or so on. A great deal of inconsistency in the website, I’ll try to sort that out and the biggest problem by far is that the website has only one or two keywords for which it’s competing in Google. Which is… well, not so smarty to put it nicely. Off I go, more details later, maybe another day.
